Miniature Projector
One of the coolest things I've seen of late is a new compact projector. Here are just a few of the specs that make me ga-ga:
- Only 4.5 inches long, 2 inches wide, less than an inch thick.
- 5.6 ounces
- Resolution up to 1280 x 768 (nearly the same as my HD TV!)
- Runs up to an hour from its internal rechargeable battery
- Image size from 6" to 50"
- VGA or RCA video input
- No fan required (lamp runs cool)
- Initial street price of just $360
I can think of all kinds of uses for this little beauty. Of course, I'd need to find out what the image quality is like, but based on the specs, picking up one of these seems like almost a no-brainer.
For the sake of comparison, I had recently seen a video of another handheld projector. There's another iPhone-compatible projector here. It's worth mentioning that although there's no specific mention of an iPod or iPhone connection, it does take a standard RCA video input, so all you should need is the right cable.
If I could find a Keynote presenter for the iPhone, I could probably justify one of these before long...
